Do I need a letter from the owner when applying for a visa extension if I live in a family home in Thailand?
Hello, I’ll be applying for my first extension at Phuket immigration and their full requirements are here: [[members only]/)
Before I apply, I’ll go and check latest requirements but wondering about this one as I’d guess plenty of people wouldn’t have either of these....

I stay at my partners family home (they own it). Would I need anything instead, like a letter from the owner?

I'm in your circumstances and I get a Thai form from immigration, its a "certificate of residence" its a different form from the normal one, and my wife signs it, with a copy of her ID and housebook.

Pop in to room 103 and ask for the list of requirements. The website is updated fairly frequently but just ask to be sure. There are helpers there that can confirm exactly what you’d need.
