I am in Cambodia, planning to fly to Bangkok in order to get an onward flight. I will not be be leaving the airport, however the flights are booked separately.
Will I still need to book a hotel for day one pcr despite not leaving Bangkok Airport? Or is there some way around this?
TIA

TLDR : Answer Summary
A traveler flying from Cambodia to Bangkok for an onward flight without leaving the airport is uncertain about the necessity of booking a hotel for a PCR test on arrival. Comments suggest that if the traveler goes through immigration, they will need to apply for a Thailand Pass and book a hotel for day one PCR testing. However, if the airline checks their luggage through to the final destination, they may not need to pass immigration and can avoid these requirements.
Yes you will because you have to go through immigration therefore you are entering Thailand. You must apply for a Thailand Pass and have a day 1 hotel and PCR test booked. Once your test comes back negative you can return to the airport and continue your journey.
