Has anyone used Japan Airlines' JAL Covid 19 Cover for entering Thailand?
Japan Airlines is offering, at no additional charge, "JAL Covid 19 Cover" that JAL states will replace the medical insurance needed to enter Thailand. Has anone used this to enter Thailand? What written proof is provided to upload to Thailand Pass?
Thank you.
Thank you.
Answer summary
Japan Airlines (JAL) offers a complimentary Covid-19 insurance known as "JAL Covid 19 Cover" that purportedly replaces the medical insurance requirement for entering Thailand. However, travelers are advised to check the specifics, as the coverage expires upon their return to their country of residence, which may not be advantageous for expats. Clarification regarding the documentation necessary for the Thailand Pass is also sought.

Not good for expats. It says coverage expires upon your return to your country of residence, which is defined as any country you have been 180 days out of 365.
