Can I apply for Thailand's Test and Go program if I have a stamp from a non-approved country?

đź‘‹ #testandgo question... I spent the 21 days in "approved countries, but I had one airport transit in a non-approved country. The transit was 16 days before arrival in Thailand and was 4 hours total. I had to clear customs to collect my luggage and check back in (different airlines, so I had to do that). So, I have a stamp from the non-approved country in my passport.

Can I still apply for #testandgo?

If my Thai Pass is approved, does that mean it is fine, or would Thai customs have an issue with this upon arrival in Thailand?

Has anyone had this experience? 🙏

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is inquiring if they can apply for Thailand's Test and Go program after transiting through a non-approved country 16 days before arriving in Thailand, despite spending 21 days in approved countries prior to the transit. A response indicates that having a stamp from the non-approved country likely means they will not be eligible for Test and Go, as Thai authorities may consider them to have left the approved status, thus affecting their entry process.

Answered in your other thread. If you have a stamp in your passport for the other country then you will have been deemed to have left the airport (regardless of whether you did or not). There’s no way the authorities here could know if you did or didn’t. If you’ve got a stamp for a country not on the list the 21 days will “reset” from that date. Whether you have the ThailandPass will probably be irrelevant. Thai immigration will probably deem you have not been in an “allowed” country (or combination) and therefore subject you to a sandbox scheme rather than a “test and go” one night quarantine.

There are no other “sealed flights” other than Samui - and they are only specific flights (even though the airline may sell you others). As far as I am aware you can “sandbox” in Phuket and Krabi (Phang Nga) and Samui. I’m not familiar with other destinations. I know you can quarantine or “test and go” in Bangkok or Pattaya, but not 100% sure you can “sandbox” there.

You’d book an approved hotel with transport. You need to pay for the PCR test at Phuket airport here.

how would you get to Krabi for a Sandbox? A Sandbox in Bangkok was my backup plan, I thought that was an option, I'll double check, thanks for the heads up 🙌🏻

are there any sandbox options for international travellers other than Phuket and Samui? Do any of the other sandbox areas have "sealed flights" / access from BKK or direct international flights, where the 7 days can be spent there without a need to stay in BKK? Thanks again! 🙏
