Do I need a DTV Visa or can I continue using the 60-day visa exemption for multiple entries to Thailand?

I currently have the below travel pattern in Thailand for the last 3 years. I have always used the 60 days visa exemption to enter because I come on holiday every time.

I come in October and stay less than 60 days, after this I go in my home country. I then come again end of January, I stay for less than 60 days and go home.

I have done this for the last 3 years, never overstaying, never coming in more than 2 times per year and never had any problems.

Considering the new rules, to continue doing this, do you think I need a DTV now? Or I can still use the 60 days visa exemption?

Many thanks.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The poster has consistently visited Thailand twice a year for the last three years on a 60-day visa exemption without any issues. Due to recent changes in regulations, they are inquiring if a DTV (Digital Nomad Visa) is now necessary for their situation. Commenters overwhelmingly suggest that the poster can continue using the 60-day visa exemption safely, describing them as a genuine tourist and indicating that as long as they maintain their travel pattern of returning home between trips, they should not encounter any problems.

Completely fine on visa exempt even with the stricter enforcement. Easily within the rules. No need to waste time applying for a tourist visa. In fact, they'd probably wonder what on earth you were doing if you did.

Seems perfectly normal, Thailand needs travellers like you GL just keep a watching brief as they were mulling over reducing the 60 day visa exemption back to 30 days but I would be surprised if they implement that..its like going backwards and unproductive

You will be fine. You do not fit the pattern they are looking to stop. Never extend and return to home country between trips quite far apart. Have a great holiday.

For once a year and less than 90 days per entry, dtv would be pretty useless for you. You should continue using the exempt till it lasts, it seems like it's probably going to be around for a good while.

You could apply for a tourist visa at your local embassy. That would cut any stress when you arrive.

Though it seems you have never extended your visa exemption so you might be ok.

Otherwise there’s safe entry services at airports cost about 3000thb, eliminating any stress and worry.
