I have a question about the soft dtv visa. Are you legally allowed to work online as well? Obviously you're not allowed to work for Thai clients; are you allowed to freelance online for non Thai residents whilst staying in Thailand with a DTV soft power visa?

TLDR : Answer Summary
Yes, it is generally permissible to work online as a freelancer for non-Thai clients while on a Soft DTV Visa in Thailand. Many holders of this visa engage in online work without restriction regarding clients outside of Thailand. However, there is some ambiguity, as some official sources suggest that a specific workcation visa might be required for remote work. Therefore, while many users confirm that online freelancing is allowed, it's advisable to check the latest regulations to ensure compliance.
I guess you can. But in theory.. Thai embassy in Berlin stressed that you need Dtv workcation visa in case you want to work remotely.. even if you follow soft power activities as well. Seems like they want to know whether remote work is done. 🤷🏼♀️
you can do anything for anyone OUTSIDE the Thailand..

Yes you can, basically both visas are the same no any difference, because when you apply they ask to prove your income for example as a freelance worker or from your property renting income.

Yes. I reckon 90% of SP DTV holders have an online side hustle.
