I want to apply for DTV under the Soft Power category for Muay Thai. I also work remotely. I heard that during the interview, they may ask where my funds came from, what I will do in Thailand, and how I will support myself for 5 years.

If I tell them that I work remotely and will continue my remote work while I am in Thailand, could this cause any problem or make my visa category confusing?
Answer summary
The individual inquiring about the DTV visa under the Soft Power category for Muay Thai is concerned about discussing their remote work during the visa interview and how it might affect their application. Comments from the community indicate that it is permissible to work remotely while holding the DTV visa, and as long as the applicant is honest about their employment and demonstrates financial stability, there should be no issues. However, it is suggested to have sufficient documentation of funds and clarify that remote work does not interfere with local laws.

I applied through soft power and was asked about my employment etc in an interview. I showed my deposits into a foreign account regularly and explained what I do. No problems at all. If you're honest shouldn't be any problems.

I just got my dtv under soft power and as you say, I was asked to prove how I would support myself. But I was also asked to confirm that:

‘acknowledge that you understand DTV holder can work remotely only which not be concerned with local Thai laws regarding working with Thai company and This is not retirement or family visa.’

This would indicate that I could work remotely if I didn’t contravene these rules’

I think not cause I also doing that cause I’m from Myanmar and we are hardly to get government documents for worklocations so I just apply under soft power and mention when they interview me that I work remotely for company and they did ask about company and how my work
