Can I Convert a Visa-Exempt Entry to a Non-O Visa Based on Retirement in Thailand?
For conversion to Non-O based on retirement; does it have to be a 'visa' or can you apply/convert to the Non-O from a visa-exempt entry (assuming of course you have enough time remaining on the entry). Will be applying at Hua Hin Immigration.

Conversion can be done from Visa Exempt Entry or Tourist Visa to a Non Immigrant Visa. But it depends on the Immigration Office, not all offices are allowed to do this and on their requirements as you mention the time remaining. Best is to check with the office and get the latest and updated hand out with these requirements from the office.

OPThanks Robert. Just trying to plan ahead as I'm not in Hua Hin currently but will be there as of Feb. Didn't think it would matter whether it was exempt entry or a tourist visa but, thought I'd ask in case anyone has had experience one way or another.
