Heard it's possible to buy the Elite visa from someone who doesn't want it anymore? Is this true and if so where do I find such a person...?

Looked on here but couldn't see any information, apologies if I missed it.

Thanks in advance

TLDR : Answer Summary
The post discusses the possibility of purchasing a transferable Elite visa from someone who no longer wants it. Respondents clarify that only the Elite Ultimate Privilege Visa can be transferred, costing 20% of its original price plus additional fees. They suggest checking Facebook groups for potential sellers, noting that the newer Elite visas are generally not transferable.

I wonder if Thailand Elite have a list of people that may want to transfer the 20 year 2 million Ultimate privilege visas? Not a cheap exercise but I suppose if you like Golf etc and it was cheap enough to buy with a long period left, it may suit.

I think you will find the new ones are not transferable, as above only the original old ones are sell-able.

you'll have to check some f/b groups and just type Elite visa into the search, there was one listed a few months ago I remember.. One of the bangkok groups I thought.

Just so you know the lifetime elite visas/cards that people sell were the original ones that only give you 90 days of stay every entry, then you either bounce out and back in or go to the immigration office and get a new 90 day extension for 1900baht.

there was a south Korean guy about six months ago trying to sell one.

Only the Elite ultimate privilege Visa is available for transfer. Cost is 20% of original visa price (2 million baht) but will cost you 400,000 baht plus VAT transfer fee plus whatever you agree to pay the person for the visa. The original life time visa if you could find anybody willing to sell one can also be transferred.
