Hello, just discovered the DTV visa from New Zealand is $2000 NZD. Can I, as a New Zealander, apply for the DTV visa from Loas or a neighbouring country as a cheaper cost?

Thanks in advance

TLDR : Answer Summary
A New Zealander inquired if they could apply for the DTV visa from Laos or a neighboring country at a lower cost than the $2000 NZD charged in New Zealand. Community responses confirmed that many New Zealanders successfully apply for the DTV visa from countries like Laos and Vietnam, often through agencies for ease. While some shared their experiences, highlighting lower costs elsewhere, it was also noted that to apply from these countries, one typically needs to be physically present.

What's wrong with NZ? In Australia it was $600 AUD. That's exorbitant.

Hey, im from New Zealand and I did apply from there just because of timings and obligations back home so I paid the $2,000NZD.

I highly recommend you doing as you said, apply overseas like Laos or Vietnam. I used an agency as well and that made the process super simple
