For information , CW said it was ok if my wife ( Thai citizen) took my passport back by herself to get the year stamp after the month of “ under consideration” .also reminded us to get bank book updated and bring in a copy.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The conversation discusses whether a Thai citizen spouse can retrieve a foreign spouse's passport after an extension application. It confirms that the spouse can indeed collect the passport for the year stamp following a month of being 'under consideration.' Additionally, it emphasizes the importance of updating the bank book prior to this pickup, indicating a long-standing policy in the context of marriage extensions.

That's good I guess (if you want your wife to go for you)

Usually the person applying for the extension shows up (no need to drag your thai significant other with you)

The update the bank book on the date you go back has been a policy for a good long time on marriage extension

... I have to admit I was a little surprised but it’s useful to know that either party can do the collection if needed .
