Hello,

My spouse got a NON O-A visa on 14.11.2022 and it expired on 13.11.2023. She used this visa for the first time when she entered the country on 10.9.2023. In this context, the date 8.11.2024 was put on the passport.

My spouse left the country on 13.10.2023. Is it the case that she will no longer be able to use the NON O-A visa when she comes to Thailand next time in January, even though the passport has a stamp of 8.9.2024?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The NON O-A visa expired on 13.11.2023, and as the spouse left Thailand on 13.10.2023 without a re-entry permit, she cannot enter Thailand on that visa in January 2024. The entry stamp of 8.9.2024 is invalid without a re-entry permit; hence she will need to apply for a new visa or enter as a tourist.

She cannot enter Thailand on Non-OA in January 2024 since visa itself expired already.

IF she applied and got a re-entry permit before she left Thailand on 13 October 2023, she can enter Thailand on that entry stamp, being stamped until 8 September 2024.

If she didn't apply for re-entry permit BEFORE she left Thailand, no, she cannot enter on that stamp anymore. In this case, she will need a new visa or enters Thailand as a tourist in January 2024.

An entry stamp is no longer valid when you leave Thailand. Re-entry permit is the one to keep that stamp "alive" when you leave and back to Thailand.

Many thanks for the clear answer. Next time we can be wiser and apply for an extension before we leave the country.

for clarification...had your wife bought a Re-entry permit before she Left Thailand, Then she would have been stamped in until September 8, 2024 as stated by Moderator Ellie.

It was ๐Ÿšซ NOT an Extension that was needed...it SIMPLY was buying a Re-entry permit for 1200 Thai baht at the Airport BEFORE she departed Thailand.
