Hello all. I’m hoping to find some information regarding my Parents coming to visit Thailand from the U.K please. They’re both in their 70s and were all set to come here earlier this year in March so very disappointed as we haven’t seen each other for a very long time and were looking forward to a reunion; unfortunately my Mum became unwell (not Covid related) and their trip was cancelled, then Covid hit and they couldn’t travel at-all. I’m wondering if they would fall into the Parent category when limited travel is allowed again as I’m Married to a Thai National?

Any glimmer of hope for our reunion would be nice to hear. TIA. ☺️

I do not think they will qualify for early entry into Thailand at this time.

And the process to obtain permission is thru the UK Thai Embassy. Takes one to two months to gain permission if eligible.

Followed by costly one way flights from the UK to BKK on repatriation flights only.

Followed by 14+ days in mandatory quarantine in an approved Bangkok hotel.

I suggest you delay the family reunion until a much later date in late 2020 or early 2021.
