Hello all. I’m hoping to find some information regarding my Parents coming to visit Thailand from the U.K please. They’re both in their 70s and were all set to come here earlier this year in March so very disappointed as we haven’t seen each other for a very long time and were looking forward to a reunion; unfortunately my Mum became unwell (not Covid related) and their trip was cancelled, then Covid hit and they couldn’t travel at-all. I’m wondering if they would fall into the Parent category when limited travel is allowed again as I’m Married to a Thai National?
Any glimmer of hope for our reunion would be nice to hear. TIA. ☺️
TLDR : Answer Summary
A user is inquiring about the possibility of their parents visiting Thailand from the U.K. They are particularly interested in whether their parents, who are both in their 70s, would qualify for entry under the parental category since the user is married to a Thai national. The inquiry follows a previous cancellation of their trip due to the mother's illness and the subsequent halt of travel due to Covid-19. A commenter suggests that, currently, the parents may not qualify for early entry, and outlines the process along with potential challenges related to flights and quarantine requirements.
