Hello if I get an entry visa in Thailand now, will I need to wait 60 days till I can apply for DTV from another country? I am thinking of going for a short visit then going to Vietnam or another country to apply for DTV.

Depends on what tourist visa you have. If its a multiple entry, you gonna have to wait until it's run out.

IF you had a Single Entry Tourist visa it is used at entry and your maximum 60 days of stay got void at exit.

BUT if you still have a valid Mutliple Entry Tourist Visa you have to wait.

Why did you not explain this in your question.

We love Vietnam for short week + tourist trips. Retired in Thailand as our home base..
