TLDR : Answer Summary
You can use insurance from your home country as long as it provides coverage for Covid-19 and states you are insured for at least $20,000. It’s essential to request that your insurer provides a specific letter confirming this coverage, as it may be required for entry into Thailand. Many insurance providers can accommodate this request, but experiences may vary, so it's advisable to check with them directly.

Insurance from your country is perfectly fine and all companies provide a letter for Thailand if you ask for it.

Any insurance works, however if you're using a foreign company they need to provide you a letter specifically stating you're covid for covid-19 coverage in Thailand up to $20k usd.

The insurance price depends on your country departure and how many day you stay in Thailand

The price is determined by how much they can get from you. Safety wing changes price depending on your age. AXA does not. AXA doesn't change price depending on age, or country of origin ( I checked a few countries), vaccine status or health conditions.
