TLDR : Answer Summary
A user recently obtained an Elite Visa but found out their local Thai embassy cannot affix the visa. They asked if they should apply for a tourist visa and affix the Elite Visa in Thailand instead. Comments suggest that arriving on a visa-exempt entry stamp or a tourist visa, and then contacting the Elite Visa service in Thailand to complete the visa sticker process at the immigration office, is a feasible option. The Elite Visa center is noted as responsive for assistance.
You can get the visa affixed at the airport on arrival, the EPA services are all back to normal. Thailand Elite contact centre are very responsive and will be able to answer your questions.
There's also this group you can join Thailand Elite Visa Members Group
I'm positive they are affixing at the airport... some services have only just restarted (like the buggy service). But anyway, Thailand Elite member services are the best to advise, they are super helpful (I should think so for the price we pay๐)
IF you come from a country that gets in to thailand on the free visa exempt/visa waiver entry stamp just come in that way
During covid with the restricted entry I know Elite stopped meeting people and putting the visa in at the airport. I do not know if they resumed the service or not
BUT
come in visa exempt or visa waiver on the free entry then contact elite to go to the immigration office and get the visa sticker put in and the new entry stamp.
