Can I take my granddaughter to the immigration office for my visa extension on the last day, or is it better to go the next day without her?

Hi Guys, I am due to get my visa extension on 2nd September, Married Thai Wife, but we will have to take our 3-year-old granddaughter with us, will that be a problem, the office is at Kap Cheong, or will it be ok to go the next day, ( no granddaughter) which will be a day late, thanks in advance.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user inquires about the implications of taking their granddaughter to the immigration office for a visa extension application, which is due on September 2nd. Several community members discuss the necessity of applying in a timely manner, the risks of waiting until the extension expires, and the potential impact of amnesty rules. The consensus is to avoid delaying the application to ensure compliance with visa regulations.

Tell you what, if you wanna do that, call Kap Choeng (not known as the most user friendly immigration office in Isaan :( ) and ask them

here's the number 04-455-9127.. IF anyone can tell you for certain whether you can go the day after your extension expires and apply it'd be them.

Good Luck, we're going around in circles, so just like that, we're done. :)

While "technically" you MIGHT be able to go on the 3rd (the day after your current extension expires) I'll ask you ONE MORE TIME why would you do that? What is the purpose you are cutting it so close?

So we can go on the 3rd of Sept?

Go NOW, go EARLY, not late.

Does the amnesty apply to me also?

Again, what is the reason that you're burning all the time down on this extension before you apply for a new yearly one? There is no up side to doing that :( All it'll take is you missing one document and you'll put yourself on overstay dancing that close to the line (waiting until the date your extension expires)

Your new extension will be dated as starting from the 27th of Sept

Yes expires on the 2nd Sept.

Seeing as you can apply for a yearly extension when you have 30 days or less left on your current extension stamp there's no specific date you need to go and apply. Does this current extension expire on the 2nd of Sept or what?
Tod *********
and you don't lose any time applying early because they add the year extension to the date your current one expires.

A new extention Tod. same as past 7 years.

Is that the "go back after 30 days and get the year extension inked in" OR are you applying for the new year extension?
