Dear friends, is it possible to Switch my Tourist Visa based on Visiting my Thai Spouse, to Non Immigrant O spouse Visa while staying in Thailand, or it is mandatory to travel outside Thailand and apply for the Non O visa? Someone told me I can switch without leaving Thailand but still not sure, Experts please give advice. THANKS
TLDR : Answer Summary
The consensus among respondents is that you can switch from a Tourist Visa to a Non-Immigrant O Visa while remaining in Thailand, provided you meet certain conditions. Specifically, you need to have a Thai bank account with at least 400,000 THB deposited and sufficient time remaining on your current visa. If you do not have a Thai bank account, you may need to leave Thailand to apply for the Non-O visa or employ an agent to assist you.
