Anyone had success with the 65k+bht monthly deposit working after a year doing the 800k?
Answer summary
The community discussion confirms that transitioning from the 800k THB method to the 65k monthly deposit method is feasible and has been successfully done by multiple individuals. Key points include the importance of adhering to financial requirements, demonstrating monthly deposits, and having sufficient funds in a Thai bank account. A general consensus is that as long as the rules are followed, there should be no issues with the transition.

I intend to do this also. Currently have the 800.000 and bringing over 65+ every month for the last 6 months. ( Not sure how many 65.000 months) I must have but I'm not touching the 800.000 until I get my extension.
We just have done the first extension using 800k and have already started depositing over 65k per month, do I understand this correctly? We now maintain over 800k for another 3 months , reduce to 400k after that for the rest of this year, then as long as I have made the monthly deposits through this year I renew on that basis and can withdraw the other 400k when second renewal approved, is this correct? Thanks
Donald Crawford you forgot to mention that you used your own funds. If you used an agent to front the money, you would not have been able to get the next extension by yourself on behalf of the 12-months transfers statement, because you violated the upkeep terms of the first extension 800,000 THB deposit. You would have needed the agent, again
Greg Alexander I did use an agent for the first year. I still recommend him. So many people keep saying that but it's not true. I used an agent the first year and used my SS payments the 2 year.. been using them ever sense
Gregory Hilton You won't be able to get a Thai bank account with a DTV. Immigration is going to want to see the deposit and then income coming into a Thai bank account.
