TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is inquiring about the implications of submitting a TM30 form in Chon Buri while currently holding an ED visa linked to Chiang Rai. Comments suggest that it is generally acceptable to submit a TM30 in another location and that Chiang Rai immigration likely won't raise issues, as long as the user updates the TM30 upon returning. One comment notes that if changing addresses, the user needs to obtain a new residence certificate.

Honestly, it should be fine. Chiang Rai immigration will be able to see the TM30 but probably won't even say anything as long as you file the TM30 when you return. If they do ask just say you went on holiday to Pattaya.

They won't know anything about you getting a residence certificate.
