Is it ok to submit a 60 day return flight from U.K. to Phuket when applying for a 60 day tourist visa before traveling of should I submit a 30 return flight then change the return date if the 60 day visa is granted.I’m hoping to not have to waste flight change expenses thanks for any advice to be given.

TLDR : Answer Summary
When applying for a 60-day tourist visa (SETV) to Thailand, it's acceptable to submit a return flight that is scheduled for 60 days after your arrival in Thailand. This way, you can avoid additional costs incurred by changing your flight if your visa is granted. It's important to note that day counting for your visa starts from your arrival date.

You can use an onward-trip ticket leaving Thailand 60 days from the arrival for a SETV application with no problem. But remember, the 60 days counting starts on the arrival date as day 1, it will be the 59th day in the usual Western way of counting days.
