Hi all, I would like some advice on my current situation. I am currently applying online for a SETV from the UK, If approved I will be extended it for 30 days at immigration once inside of Thailand. So the advice needed is, would the flights I have pre booked already which covers me for 90 days stay in Thailand be acceptable to obtain the 60 days visa? Also I do have a room booking for the 90 days with a private landlord, what information would be required from them so I can upload it onto the 'proof of accommodation' section on the application? I think I may of made an error by booking my return flights after 90 days an not 60 days, any advice would be greatly appreciated. Regards Lewis.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The applicant, Lewis, is seeking guidance on whether his pre booked return flights for 90 days will affect his ability to obtain a 60-day Tourist Visa (SETV) for Thailand and what documentation he needs for his accommodation proof. The responses suggest that while typically a flight out of Thailand within 60 days is required, some have successfully used longer return flights. It is recommended to have an itinerary for clarification and to provide proof of accommodation through a booking from a private landlord including necessary identification.

We’ve never had any issues with booking our flight for 90 days and travelling on a 60 day SETV and 30 day extension. We’re from the UK and have used all the major airlines with no questions asked. The person who owns the accommodation should send you a picture of their ID and your booking as proof of where you plan to stay. I honestly don’t anticipate any problems for you tbh.

Thank you so much, I will speak with the landlord for that proof. Kind regards

I can only vouch for Australia but I was able to submit my plans on my current 5 month stay in conjunction to my return flight being 5 months after arriving and my 60 day visa was approved. If on your countries website it says a planned itinerary to explain the longer time period, you'll be able to do the same. Good luck

Normally you would need to show a flight out of Thailand within 60 days for your visa application. You can try submitting the 90 day return and see if they accept it, there have been a few reports recently of people being approved.

If they don't like it they will email you and ask you for a flight departing Thailand within 60 days and at that point you can just book a cheap ticket to Vietnam or Singapore or somewhere close, or Google "onward travel ticket" and use a service to rent a plane ticket.

For lodging to make it easy, just book a couple weeks at a free cancellation hotel on Agoda and then submit the booking and then cancel. They don't require you to show booking for your entire stay.
