Hello,

I arrived in Bangkok with a exemption of visa, I made a ED visa in country in Bangkok and now I already got 2 extension from it.

I may found a job here in Bangkok, but I can't have a work permit on ED visa. So my question is :

Can I cancel my ED visa, then go for a covid-19 extension (for have some time), and then make a visa B + work permit inside Thailand (in Bangkok)?

Is that possible? Is anyone already did that? Or is there another way to get where I want (visa B + work permit) without leaving the country?

you MIGHT be able to do exactly what you mention:

cancel your current ED extension (you're not on any ED visa anymore), then apply for a 60 day covid extension and then MAYBE get a new Non-B 90 day visa in country, <- IF your employer can supply the correct documentation to the immigration office.

So whether you can or can't is totally between you, your employer and the immigration office you use.

The company is legit (no "agent" things). So like I though it's theoretically possible. Thanks for the confirmation. If I successfully make it, I will post it here along with the exact process.

, talk with your future employer. Even the "legit" company cannot provide some documents for the in-country visa process sometimes. Good luck.
