Hello,
I arrived in Bangkok with a exemption of visa, I made a ED visa in country in Bangkok and now I already got 2 extension from it.
I may found a job here in Bangkok, but I can't have a work permit on ED visa. So my question is :
Can I cancel my ED visa, then go for a covid-19 extension (for have some time), and then make a visa B + work permit inside Thailand (in Bangkok)?
Is that possible? Is anyone already did that? Or is there another way to get where I want (visa B + work permit) without leaving the country?
Thank you.
TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is inquiring about the possibility of transitioning from an ED visa in Thailand to a COVID-19 extension and subsequently applying for a Non-B visa and work permit without leaving the country. A community member suggests that this transition might be possible, but it depends on the specific circumstances involving the user's current visa status, employer documentation, and the immigration office's regulations.
