Hi, I am residing in Bangkok with a non OA Retirement Visa. I understand that every time I enter the kingdom, I will be stamped a year’s stay; therefore, if I leave and re-enter sharp before the expiry of the Visa, I will be stamped to stay for another year (2nd year) even the visa will expire on the next day.
My question is, within this 2nd year’s stay, if I leave the kingdom, can I be back again with the same non OA?
My thought is I cannot since my non OA had already expired and I do not possess a valid Visa anymore. Am I right on this?
Thanks a lot.
TLDR : Answer Summary
The user holds a non OA Retirement Visa and is inquiring about their ability to re-enter Thailand after the visa expires but while holding a valid one-year stay stamp. Explanations from community members confirm that as long as the user enters Thailand just before the visa’s expiry, they can receive a second year of stay. They will need to obtain a re-entry permit before leaving Thailand and will not gain additional days on their stamp. Further extensions may be possible after the second year, provided the requirements are met.
