Hi there, I'm in Thailand currently on a 30 day visa which is due to expire on March 7.

I originally flew into Thailand (I have a Thai wife) on January 15 on a 30 day Visa. I left Thailand on 29 January for the UK and returned from the UK on Feb 7 and got another 30 day visa, with the intention of flying back to China on 10 Feb which is when my school was originally director reopen, however due to the Coronavirus my schools opening has been delayed until possibly March 10 OR LATER.

my question is, if my schools remains closed past March 7 will I be able to get a 30 day extension from Chang Wattana?

And if the schools opening is delayed further will I then be able to get a visa based on marriage from Vientiane or Penang?

Many thanks in advance for your help.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is currently in Thailand on a 30-day visa that expires on March 7 and seeks to know if they can extend their stay due to their school being closed as a result of the Coronavirus. The community suggests that the user can apply for a 30-day extension at the local immigration office for 1,900 THB. Since the user has a Thai wife, they can also apply for a 60-day extension based on marriage, available for the same fee. Furthermore, if the school remains closed, the user can explore applying for a Non-Immigrant O visa based on marriage from Vientiane or Penang.

Yep, you can get a 60 day at CW, and your prior history shouldn't have any impact on getting the extension.

I can do that at Chang Wattana?

And yes, you can apply for a Non Immigrant O visa based on being married to a Thai national in Vientiane or Penang.

Other option is the 1 year valid Multiple Entry Non Immigrant O visa based on marriage from Savannakhet, Gives you 90 days of stay on each entry and is valid for 1 year.

Why apply for 30 days if you can apply for a 60 day Extension of Stay based on visiting your family?

Same price 1.900 Thb.

And after that 30 days extension you can apply for 60 days extension to visit family.

I'm assuming you have an UK passport. If you have not already, you can apply for a 30 day extension at your local immigration office for 1,900 THB.

Edit: Didn't see that you have a wife before - you can get 60 days, not 30.

Yes, I mean visa exempt, as per photo, on a UK passport.

I don't think you mean a 30 day visa. Maybe visa exemption? If so, you can pay to extend for another 30 days
