Has anyone had luck opening a bank account on a DTV visa in Chiang Mai? If so, any chance you can share info? Thanks!

Also, any tips on documents to provide for freelancers (so no contract)?

- passport & visa

- driving licence

- landlord blue book and ID with signature

- rental contract

- employment contract / must be stated clearly that you can work in Thailand

- Tax Number

I got mine a month ago but there are posts in this group recently that says they no longer open, just try your luck. Bring all the docs so they can decide right away.

The catch is that I don't have an employer as I'm a freelancer, so not sure what docs would have to get in that case..

 yes Adrian! With ED visa you can but with DTV I don’t think you can. I was able to open mine with ED 2 years ago too
