Hello everyone,

I would like to ask about the approval chances for a Syrian applicant applying for the Destination Thailand Visa (DTV). The applicant has been living and working in Dubai for almost 4 years, with a valid job, legal bank statements, and all documents in order.

Does anyone know if there are specific risks or lower chances of approval for Syrians?

And maybe if there are consultants who can professionally help to collect all the required documents and guide through the application process?

Any advice or recommendations would be highly appreciated 🙏

TLDR : Answer Summary
The conversation discusses the approval chances for a Syrian applicant seeking a Destination Thailand Visa (DTV), noting that having legal residency in Dubai and sufficient financial means (over $15,000) generally improves chances. Experiences shared suggest that scrutiny levels may vary by nationality and embassy, with some situations requiring approvals from Bangkok rather than local authorities. Recommendations for seeking professional help from consultants for document collection and guidance through the application process are also welcomed.

I very recently got it and I am syrian, if you fulfill the requirements (especially legal residency in Dubai) and have more than the required usd 15k in the bank, I would say chances are you get it. It is also different in

different embassies, some are easier. I have no idea about the UAE one I got mine at Ankara's.

Some nationalities do get more scrutiny ie their applications have to be approved in Bangkok and not a local decision approval is possible and there are examples.

No worries about nationality, they just want to see sound finances and if you can sustain yourself. I believe some iraqi and syrian nationals have posted on this group before about approval, try using the search function.
