Hello everyone ๐Ÿ™

Quick question: I was granted a Visa on Arrival earlier this year and got 1 โ€normalโ€ extension plus one Covid one. Now back home and thinking about going back some time soon. Can I get another Visa on Arrival as usual even though the old one was rather recently granted (about 4-5 months ago)? Thank you very much ๐Ÿ˜Š

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user inquires about the possibility of obtaining another Visa on Arrival after having recently received one. A respondent clarifies that the user likely received a 30-day free entry stamp instead of a Visa on Arrival. The answer suggests that the user can return to Thailand with another free entry stamp, which will change from 30 to 45 days starting October 1, and informs about the option for a regular 30-day extension available at the immigration office.

As you said you got a "regular" extension (which I take was the 30 day one) you did NOT get any "Visa On Arrival" ๐Ÿ˜ฎ

A visa on arrival is SOLD to people from 17 countries when they land here for 2000baht and it's good for 15 days and it can't be extended

We will go under the premise you showed up here and due to your nationality you got stamped in FREE for 30 days on what's called a visa exempt entry <- that is NOT a visa, it's just a free entry stamp.

You should have no problem comin' back on another visa exempt entry. Keep in mind the 30 day free entry stamp will change and become a 45 day free entry stamp effective Oct 1st and running until Mar 31st. AND you can still get one regular 30 day extension on that entry stamp for 1900baht at the immigration office as well

Thank you! And youโ€™re absolutely right. I keep mixing these two things up ๐Ÿ˜… as you said I got the 30 days Visa Exempt Entry and got the regular 30 day extension plus a covid one. Happy to hear there wonโ€™t be any troubles with coming back the same way. Even better now having the options to stay 45 days soon. Thanks Tod! ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ˜Š
