Hi everyone

For my extension of O visa I need to provide bank certificate and statements.

I live in Hua Hin but original account is opened in bangkok.

Could Bangkok Bank Hua Hin provide these documents for me or do I have to go to bangkok to home/original branch to get them

Many thanks

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is inquiring whether they can obtain a bank certificate and statements necessary for their O visa extension from the Bangkok Bank branch in Hua Hin, instead of returning to their original branch in Bangkok. Responses indicate that it is generally possible to get these documents from any branch, including Hua Hin, but it's advised to account for the validity period of the documents and to ensure the bank book is updated before applying for the extension.

As far as I know, SCB only do home branch. Easy enough to change, keeping same account number according to SCB teller.
Rok ********
I regularly get documents in Bangkok where i opened the account in Hua Hin.

I got my statement and paperwork done at a different branch, however the same province. If not, have a safe drive 😀

If you need a 12 month statement, that takes 7 days at Bangkok bank

I ordered my statements on the Bkk bank app and they arrive a few minutes later. I printed them off and took them to the bank where they used them to provide the letters etc. This is in Hua Hin, but these days I guess even a different branch could refuse if they choose to make it difficult.

@James *******
You can order it as PDF per email... takes normally not more than 24h

@James *******
Agree. It takes 7 days after request to receive, and is only good (in the eyes of immigration) for 7 days after receipt.

but you can go and get 6 months on the spot which is all you need

@Christer *********
pretty sure Chiang Rai requires 12 months, but that could be due to my bank book lacking detailed transactions, as I’m not in the country the entire year.
Tod *********
You should be able to get the year detail transaction report and the standard Bank letter at any branch of your bank.

I think in Hua Hin those documents are only valid for 7 days from the date they're issued so don't get them too soon before you going for your extension.

Also update you bank book the date you are applying for your extension

@Tod ********
sisaket you have to get statement on the DAY you apply to renew extension,which for me isn't a problem for some it might be,but if you want to be allowed to stay jump through the hoops and don't complain

at SOME offices, other offices have other rules,

which is why I always say CHECK with your office or post on a group related to where you live in thailand

@Tod ********
you can update the bank book the day before in Hua Hin. It’s well documented and I’ve done it multiple times

@Tod ********
And having updated the passbook you'll need to photocopy the last page(s) with the new entries (assuming you've already photocopied all other docs).

I update book with a small withdrawal at atm outside bank, go in, get documentation and ask them to also photocopy book ...
