TLDR : Answer Summary
The discussion highlights that Indian nationals arriving in Thailand on a tourist visa are required to return to India to apply for a new visa, as they cannot apply for visa extensions or new tourist visas within Thailand. The possibility of extending a visa depends on the type of visa originally obtained, with limitations such as a 7-day extension for those on a Visa on Arrival (VOA) and more options for longer-term visas if proper paperwork is available.
, you would have to go back to india and get a single entry tourist visa. Indian nationals cannot get visas from the thai consulates in nearby countries, they have to go back to india to get them :/

I guess you mean after arriving on a tourist visa. We should know much more details than just they, what is their nationality of their passport, why they want another visa, are the married to Thai National or would like to retire in Thailand or want to work in Thailand as a few examples.

Indian people have to go back to their country and apply for a new tourist visa.
