Can I leave Thailand on a non-B visa without a work permit, and will I need it to re-enter?

Hi all,

I am on a non-B visa but I don’t have my work permit yet. Is it possible for me to leave the country without the WP? Will it be requested by the immigration officer when I come back?

Thank you!

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user seeks clarification on leaving Thailand with a non-B visa without a work permit and whether it will be required upon re-entry. A comment suggests that, by law, work permits cannot be taken out of Thailand, but some immigration officers might ask for it when re-entering the country.

By law you are not allowed to bring your wp out of Thailand but some officers ask for it when you enter Thailand. Welcome to Thailand :)
