Question: After arriving on an initial 3 month non-immigrant education visa, can you leave and re-enter with a re-entry permit?

Or will it get canceled?

I know this is ok after it has been extended to one year, but is it ok in the initial 3 month period?

This is for 4 year university. Kenyan passport.

TLDR : Answer Summary
Yes, you can leave and re-enter Thailand on a 3-month non-immigrant education visa using a re-entry permit. This permit can be obtained at the immigration office or the airport before departure. However, exiting will not add any additional time to your visa; you will return with the original 90-day stamp.

No problem at all.

You can get a re-entry permit (either at the immigration office or the airport before you fly out) and exit/re-enter on the initial 90 day Non-ED visa.

You won't get any more time added to your stay but you will get stamped back in for the original expiration of the 90 day stamp when you return.

you might want to get a letter from the Uni saying they know you're leaving and coming back on the initial 90 day ED visa and they have no issue with it.

That way you're covered if they ask at passport control why you're not in school
