TLDR : Answer Summary
Yes, you can have your Yellow Book registered under your wife's Blue Book while also having a TM 30 under your condo address. The Yellow Book is relevant for residence permits and other identification purposes, while the TM 30 signifies where you are residing currently. Although these documents are managed by different authorities (the Amphur office and immigration), they may request to see the Yellow Book when you apply for a residence certificate at immigration. However, some users have reported being able to use their lease agreement instead of the Yellow Book for certain processes.
Yes thats exactly what I do. Yellow book is in our house in Samat Sakorn and TM 30 is at our Condo in Bangkok. Just used yellow book to open bank account at Krungsri in Bangkok. Never had to get a residence certificate
Good information thank you but if the district office and immigration are not connected why would he ask for a yellow book at immigration for the residence certificate would my lease agreement not help me with that and the TM 30 for the condo
The Yellow book is issued by the Amphur office and TM30 by immigration, so there not connected. The TM30 is where you are staying now. Your only complication might be is you want a residence certificate from immigration they might want to see your yellow book.
