TLDR : Answer Summary
You cannot apply for a multiple entry tourist visa within Thailand; it must be obtained in your home country or a country where you reside. However, if you currently hold a single-entry tourist visa, you can upgrade to a multi-entry visa at immigration offices in Thailand for a fee of 3800 Baht.
I entered on a non-immigrant single entry. I got a multi-entry stamp in my passport for 3800 Baht at the local immigration office in Ubon Ratchathani. I could also get a reentry for 1900 Baht.
yes, this is a reentry permit associated with your non-immigrant O visa. The poster is asking if they can receive a multi-entry tourist visa. Different things.
it's a permit not a Visa, the stamp even says that it's a permit, and it costs 3,800 for multiple entry or 1,000 for single entry. The cost of an extension is 1900 baht.
