Do I need to carry my METV printout each time I re-enter Thailand?

ORIGINAL POSTER
A few years ago I got a METV in person (in USA) and they put a full page Visa sticker in my passport and ink stamped my passport each time I came in and out every 60 days.

Last month I got a new METV via email and the USA consulate portal. (No going to the embassy, nice!)

When I arrived I showed immigration the print out of the METV and they ink stamped me 60 days.

My question. Because I don't have a full page sticker thing in my passport like last time, do I need to have that METV printout with me each time I re-enter? Or, do they just look me up in the computer and know I'm good for another 60 days?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user inquired about whether they need to carry their METV printout after receiving it via email, as it doesn't come with a traditional visa sticker in their passport like their previous one did. Comments confirmed that carrying the printout every time they exit and re-enter Thailand is necessary, as it serves as proof of the visa.

May I ask you what kind of proofs (flights, accommodation) were required for METV done online, precovid usually 1st flight in and out and accomodation for 1n was enough at the Embassy

, how exactly do you know you are going to apply for your METV at the SAME embassy/consulate with OP? Requirements vary for each consulate even in the same country, for example, the USA. You need to check the requirements with the exact consulate you are applying to...

I just need personal experience - I fully understand that requirements may vary

it's NOT enough anymore, especially IF you're applying online using the eVisa system. They specifically say you need to show you need an METV or they'll sell you just a single entry and keep the difference. ๐Ÿ˜ฎ

You show your main flight to thailand and then that you're leaving and returning 60 days or so after that and you upload ALL that information under flights

exactly, so that's why I am asking personal experience from someone who did it

and one final time, UNLESS you're applying at the exact same consulate their personal experience has ZERO value in your situation.

Meet the requirements get the visa, don't meet them don't get it

Sadly this isn't a "let's hold hands around the camp fire and share stories of how we got our visas" group ๐Ÿ˜ฎ

Good luck,

YES, you need to have that PDF print out every time you exit/re-enter the country because that is your visa and you have to show it to prove you have it

Print it out, fold it up and clip it in your passport
