I had planned on making a visa run to Myanmar next week but discover the van service has been discontinued. So I guess the other option is a "do it youself" trip on public buses.
I already have one visa extension on my original 30 day visa stamp. It didn't used to be possible to buy a second extension but have rules changed?
Thanks for any advice.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The original poster planned to make a visa run to Myanmar but found that van services had ceased. They are inquiring whether it's possible to obtain a second 30-day extension after already using one on their initial 30-day visa. Community members clarify that only one 30-day extension is allowed for a 30-day visa exempt entry and mention that Thai regulations allow for two visa exempt entries via land borders in a calendar year. They also share advice on alternative travel options to border locations and provide updates about bus services available for visa runs.
I then contacted no less than THREE travel agencies who all informed me the service was defunct for various reasons, lack of demand, no visa service at the border etc. Not true. Simply call the phone number on the site.
A big thank you to Philip Cummins for informing me that the border run service is still active in Chiang Mai. I had tried making a reservation online which was unsuccessful. I
, people in chiang Mai that need to border bounce up at the Mae Sai - Tachiliek border with burma usually take that "green bus" It gets you right there.
George Bowen, you can walk across the land border if you want to but if you're comin' in without a visa you'll get stamped in on a 30 day visa exempt entry and you have a limit of two per calendar year by land.
By air there is technically no limit, but at some point you'll be questioned by the immigration officer if they think you're living here on back-2-back 30 day visa exempt stamps when flying in
