TLDR : Answer Summary
The user inquired about the possibility of obtaining a 60-day extension after receiving a 30-day extension on their visa in Thailand. Responses indicated that obtaining a 60-day extension is generally not possible without having Thai family ties, and suggestions were made regarding border runs and extensions.

That info graphic suggests they add it to your current stamp. That may be the case at some offices but it definitely isn’t in Phuket. You get 60 days from the day you apply as you are “changing the reason” for an extension.

it's so random it's hard to say. I stopped trying to keep track. Tod usually says starts the day of but I guess Ellie thought differently

Not unless you have Thai family - wife or kids.

well you can extend once for 60 days using the visit Thai family visa. Be aware that it will be dated from the day you apply. Not added to your current stamp.
