TLDR : Answer Summary
The individual, a British citizen working in Australia, is concerned about returning to Thailand due to potential job shutdowns and the current entry restrictions associated with COVID-19. The comments emphasize that to enter Thailand, travelers must meet specific requirements, including having a COVID-19 free certificate and a health insurance policy of at least $100,000. Options like applying for a long-stay Non-O visa based on family ties are suggested, as the visa on arrival program is no longer an option for British passport holders. The general consensus recommends securing a visa from a Thai consulate in Australia before attempting to travel.

Looks like we might be getting shut down , don't want to be stuck here for months on end and don't want to fly back to the UK when my wife and kids are in Thailand !! Looking for any solution ???
. You've got some suggestions above. Flights are available but you need to meet the criteria. Your other options are to sit tight where you are until it all blows over, or return to your home country. Considering some of the issues raised in this group your position in not too bad.
You're right, the visa on arrival program has been canceled, however British passport holders never had a visa on arrival; they had a 30 day visa exempt when they arrive to Thailand.
