Can I fly out from DMK to Siam reap and return back to DMK 3-4 hours later

To gain a visa exempt?

Or do you have to return the following day?

British passport holder.

Current SETV will expire on the 30th.

Already extended at immigration.

Thanks in advance and apologies to bother you in this difficult time.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The question concerns the ability of a British passport holder to fly from DMK (Don Mueang International Airport) to Siem Reap, Cambodia, and return on the same day in order to gain a visa exemption for Thailand. There are comments suggesting that under normal circumstances, staying at least 24 hours in Cambodia is required for visa purposes. Additionally, there are issues relating to airline policies on same-day returns, with some airlines requiring proof of hotel bookings to allow travel.

I am on the way there already. I will be there from 20.03. to 21.03. and on Thai Smile Airways had problem and wouldn't issue my boarding pass without proof of hotel booking. I asked what's the problem and they said they don't allow fly there and back within same day. I will stay there one day but they want to be sure and want to see hotel booking.

@Pavol ******
were you able to get a Cambodian visa with no problems to do this?

Fires Fly, please, keep advice to the rules.

Fake tickets or hotel bookings is not the way forward, after all people have to sleep somewhere during a overnight trip.

And not all love the carton box under the bridge

problem is it's too late now to get a flight to Siem Reap today, so has to be tomorrow. And if they don't allow the same day come-back then it will be the 22nd when the health certificate/insurance requirement come into play. Really wish I had know this morning grrrrr

You need to stay 24 hours in Cambodia when you enter at Siem Reap Airport. (At least under normal circumstance)
Steven ********
do you need a visa to do that?
Robert *******
Depending on passport you might be able to fly to Cambodia.

But be aware it is only 30 days, time to plan the next step.

@Robert ******
I understand.

Unfortunately I was awaiting my letter from the ministry of education to apply for my non-b ED visa.

But we all know what happened to Malaysia.

Thanks for your help

Right now it looks like Yangon is a sure way to turn around by air until March 22nd. Don't take this as 100% certainty but this is based on what Air Asia told me at Yangon airport today. Hoping all goes well as I arrive back in Bangkok this evening.

you have to get a visa in advance right for Myanmar? How long does that take?
