TLDR : Answer Summary
The post discusses the availability of over-the-counter medications for fructose and lactose intolerance in Thailand. Commenters suggest that while lactose pills and lactose-free milk (like almond milk) are available, it's advisable to check with local pharmacies such as Diamond Pharmacy for specific brands. They also recommend bringing some supplies from home, as certain medications may only be available through orders from abroad.
I think you should bring a supply with you. Just looking quickly for the two medications you mentioned it looks like most would have to be ordered from the US. Maybe there are local equivalents but unless you can determine that I would bring a supply with you. Also, it's likely to be less expensive than what you will get here.
If the pharmacy can not help you I’m sure if you see a Dr at a nearby hospital they will be able to give you something but yes bring some supplies with you until you can find out where to buy the stuff you want good luck
i dont think lactose pills count as medication, they are dietary suppliments. My wife has brought hindreds of pills i at a time since we could not find them here (although our luggage has never been searched so cant sayvfor sure what they would doo)
awesome! Thank you 🙂 hopefully they have something like fructaid too. I was thinking they would but last time I was there I was undiagnosed so wasn’t on the lookout.
