Was an easy process, no proof of funds required, but the IO did ask me where my wife was. I however had an original copy of her passport along with all relevant documents, in which the IO said ok good.

Has anyone else ever been asked the location of their spouse?

if your local immigration is open today, then today is the day. otherwise, if it is closed on saturdays [and sundays], then monday is fine.

if you are still living at the same residence and have your previous one still stapled in your passport, you just need to bring that and tell them that you left the country and came back - that is how it works here in chiang rai, cannot confirm for other offices.

Any particular documents to take along with me other than a passport, rental contract?
