What should I do if my 90-day TM47 report status is pending before my flight from Chiang Mai to Bangkok?

I have to do my first 90-day report in CM tomorrow (8 Nov) but need to fly to Bangkok early doors.. ie. early in the morning before immigration opens.. I'll then be flying out of Thailand for 7-10 days (from Bangkok) so need to resolve this before i leave CM.. I've completed the TM47 filing online today and it has been accepted.. meaning a 'successful' acknowledgement was received.. the application status is now showing as 'pending'.. how long is it likely to be until the status is updated to reflect an accepted or rejected notification.. if it isn't accepted before immigration office closes today then i risk being unable to do so in person.. with all the hassle that that would involve upon my return to Thailand.. should i just go to immigration after lunch and do it again in person?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is concerned about their 90-day TM47 report status being pending due to an imminent flight from Chiang Mai to Bangkok. They have successfully filed the report online but worry it won't be processed in time. Responses suggest that processing may take a few days, and it’s advisable to visit the immigration office in person to avoid fines, even though flying out might exempt them from filing immediately.

, that depends on the immigration office. Some let you do the first report online, some don't.

I moved from Bangkok to Pattaya area. My 90 Day was due about a month after the move. My wife and I went to Chonburi Immigration Office to file. We had already registered the house online. The Immigration Officer kept telling us the whole time we could have filed the 90 Day Report online too. So Ellie you are correct, it depends!

If you're flying out of Thailand, you probably wouldn't need to worry about a 90 day report, particularly if you're flying out within the leeway time period.

Thanks for all your input.. i will be in Thailand on day 90 but not in CM.. so cannot do the report in person.. just didn't want to risk the online report being rejected by the system for some techicality.. so decided to go to CM immigration to do it in person.. already have my slip of paper.. phew! Better safe than sorry in my book!

@Peter ******
, there is no leeway time period for 90 days report.
Peter *******
@Ellie ******
, you can do a 90 day report up to 15 days before and 7 days after the 90 days.
Ellie *******
@Peter ******
that is the window to report about you are in Thailand on that 90th day (due date), NOT "leeway".
Peter *******
@Ellie ******
, look up the definition of leeway.

@Peter ******
. as long as you are in Thailand on the exact day (dure date) and leaving thailand within 7 days after, you still are supposed to report 90 days. Leaving Thailand within that 7 days does not mean you don't have to report 90 days. You have to. You just have 7 days after to report without being fine.

Usually it would take a few days + to get the result, approved or rejected. There wouldn't be any hassle caused by this 90 days report fail when you are back, but you might be fined for 2000 baht for lack of report when you have something to do at the immigration office.

If you don't want to be stressed by that, go to the immigration office today in person after you cancel the current pending report.
