TLDR : Answer Summary
It is possible to extend your visa using your children's birth certificates after your divorce during amnesty. However, you will need to go to your local immigration office and present not just the birth certificates, but also the children's Thai house books and potentially the children themselves or photographs of them. They may also require you to confirm with the children's mother by phone. A 60-day extension is typically available, provided you can demonstrate parental responsibilities and possess adequate financial resources.

they usually DO require the reason you're getting an extension to be there ;) (marriage you need your wife, visiting family, you need a thai family member) :)
My reason was to support my thai child not for the wife but they still needed to see my wife at Jomtien office. (worst immigration office by the way)

If you are the legal father and have the funds, then yes it is possible, because you already had a NON O. As mentioned, the 60 day extension will give you time to get the funds organized.

You can get a 60 day stamp. You will need the birth cert. Baby book and possibly the child there or pictures. They will probably have you call the mother of the child on the phone to confirm if the child and mother are not there. I just went through something similar.

Casa Blanca you are mistaking a year extension based on marriage to a thai or raising a half thai child which requires proof of funds (400K baht banked) with a 60 day visit thai family extension which does NOT require proof of funds. They are two completely different things entirely
different immigration offices have different policies

thank you Bryan. i should be able to take one of the kids. they're grown up. 2 in uni and one in highschool. problem is my wife would do anything for me not to stay in the country. she would tell them to lock me up and deport me immediately. lol. we just signed the papers 3 weeks ago
might be tough then. I suppose if you had adequate proof there your children and all that. It might help. I had the birth cert and baby book that shows all the check ups and everything but the immigration officer had me video chat with her so he could see the baby. Good luck

That is gonna be between you and the immigration office and it's gonna take more than the birth certificate with your name on it. It'll usually take you showing up with the kids, their thai house books, the birth certificates, BUT I'd go to your immigration office and check with them as far as what you need to get the 60 day visit thai family extension for 1900baht. You should be able to get it though..
