TLDR : Answer Summary
The discussion revolves around whether a visa holder needs to take a course every six months to maintain their visa status in Thailand. Comments clarify that a six-month course can provide eligibility for a five-year visa. Ongoing participation in activities like Muay Thai or cooking classes may fulfill the visa requirements, although opinions differ on strict adherence to rules. While some suggest that as long as basic requirements are met, continued education is not strictly enforced, others emphasize the importance of respecting visa conditions.

If you want to respect the visa and the country that accept you , the answer is yes. Will they check it ? I think no , not yet .... in 2 years probably they will change mind πŸ˜…

I mean - if you are like me and occasionally lack discipline in life, it's a great excuse to get yourself into the routine of learning something new every 6 months!

A 6 month course gets you a 5 year visa. Very occasionally the IO will ask to see ongoing soft power activity. Gyms like ours have DTV Plus programs which are a cheaper alternative to signing up for another 6 months and you can demonstrate to immigration, via a user account on our website that yiu are still signed up for ongoing classes.
