Hello everyone; if on a tourist visa can i still seek an extension at immigration without medical certification? On the first 30day tourist stamp , will do this at Pattaya immigration. Has anyone been there recently doing an extension?

Answer summary

A user asked if they can extend their tourist visa in Thailand at the Pattaya immigration office without a medical certification. Responses indicated that it's possible to obtain a 30-day extension for a fee of 1,900 baht, regardless of whether the user entered on a 30-day visa-exempt stamp or a 60-day tourist visa. An additional note was made regarding the best time to visit the immigration office to avoid long waits.

Been there yesterday. I recommend coming before 10:30 or after 13:30 . The stuff have a lunch break 12:00-13:00 so they stop giving numbers at 11:00, continue 13:00.

Well seeing as

@Chane *******

never answered. I'll give the answer seeing as it doesn't matter IF they are on a 30 day visa exempt entry OR a 60 day tourist visa entry.

@Ch***

you can get a 30 day extension at the immigration office on your current entry stamp ONCE for 1900baht. There is no reason to wait until this current stamp is expiring because they ADD the 30 days to your current stamps expiration date :)

Go to your immigration office and get a 30 day extension :)

Okay, lets sort this out

@Chane *******

DID you BUY a tourist visa from a thai consulate in another country BEFORE you came here and were stamped in for 60 days when you arrived?

OR

Did you just show up here with NO thai visa in your passport and got stamped in for FREE for 30 days?
