Hi,

I’ve been in Thailand for 2 months and extended 30 days with a tourism visa. I’m from China and have been traveling for 2 years. I heard there’s a visa extension policy for Chinese during the virus breaking out. I’m asking if it’s possible for me to apply for extend it again? Thanks!

TLDR : Answer Summary
A Chinese traveler in Thailand has inquired about the possibility of extending their tourism visa again due to the virus outbreak and the availability of special visa extension policies. Responses from the community indicated that extensions might be granted under specific circumstances, such as being at the airport without a flight or hospitalization due to the virus. However, there are differing opinions about the eligibility and potential overstay fines, emphasizing the need for caution and proper documentation.

be aware that there is a BIG difference in a tourist who like to stay longer inside Thailand and a person who

Has checked in and the flight is delayed or cancelled OR a person

is admitted at a hospital.

PLEASE, BE VERY CAREFUL WITH STATEMENTS THAT DUE TO VIRUS PEOPLE CAN GET EXTENSIONS AND DO NOT GET OVERSTAY FINES.

"At Suvarnabhumi, the Airport Operations Centre will help tourists stranded at the airport due to the deadly virus. The contact number is 02-132-9950, Pol Col Choengron said". . . . . . . you can at least count on understanding and flexibility with any visa & overstay problems

Do you have a flight ticket booked for your return to China ?

Only if you can show that you are at the airport and your plane is not leaving or if you are admitted into the hospital with the virus.
