TLDR : Answer Summary
The possibility of extending a Non ED visa is contingent upon having adequate documentation from the educational institution you are enrolled in. Without it, an extension may not be accepted. If you are attending a legitimate school and progressing in your studies, securing an extension should be feasible, though language schools may require a passing verbal test to verify attendance. Be prepared for extensive paperwork involved in the process.

If you are actually going to school, and making normal learning progression you should have no problem, but, if it is a language school you are supposedly attending, you will be given a basic verbal language test that you should easily be able to pass if you were going to school. If you can't pass it, no extension.
seems legit. I mean, if you apply for a marriage visa in a fraudulent way, you are liable to get your visa revoked. If you are on a Ed Visa and not studying, well, the case could be made that you are engaged in fraud as well..

You can only extend an ED visa with documentation from your school. You will need to check with them and see if they will support your extension, and if they approve they will give you a large amount of paperwork (over 100 pages) to take to immigration for an extension.
