TLDR : Answer Summary
The original poster inquired about extending their 60-day visa exempt status to a Non-O visa due to having a Thai wife and daughter. Comments from the community suggest that while it's challenging to convert a visa exempt entry directly to a Non-O visa, they might be able to apply for a 60-day family extension. Immigration policy varies by office, and it's noted that in some locations, the requirement for a 30-day extension before applying for a family extension might apply. Therefore, the user is advised to check with their local immigration office to confirm available options.

It seems like now all you want to do is to get the 60 day visit thai family extension NOT do the 90 day Non-O visa application.
keep in mind that some offices stopped letting people get the 60 day visit family extension from free stamp entry, so you have to check with your immigration office,
In Bangkok I know you can do it, (get the 60 day visit thai family)
BUT
they make you take the 30 day extension (the one you can normally get) first before you can get the 60 day visit thai family extension
I think this post has ran it's course, and the op knows what their option are. If you want the post opened back up message me
I Arrived From Australia With My Thai Wife ( No Kids ) On 60 Day Visa Exempt, Approached Immigration With 4 Weeks Remaining, They Gave Me 30 Day Visa Before I Could Apply For Non-O Visa. ( So My Understanding Is You Can't Apply For Non-O Whilst On Visa Exempt ).
In My Case Immigration Told Me Non-O Visa Could Not Be Issued Whilst On 60 Day Exempt Stamp, Even Tho I Met All Requirements, Hence Making Me Get 30 Day Visa To Qualify. Then Non-O Was Issued Before That 30 Day Visa Expired.
If you are indeed here on a 60-day Visa exempt entry <- meaning you showed up with no Visa in your passport and you were stamped in free for 60 days and you're in Bangkok you get the 60 day visit Thai family extension at IT Square Laksi Plaza..
