TLDR : Answer Summary
To extend your 60-day tourist visa in Thailand for an additional 30 days, you need to visit the Immigration office and apply for the Extension of Stay. It's advisable to start this process around May 10, as your initial visa will expire around May 15.

If you arrived on March 17, 59 days after would be May 15th. I suggest applying for an extension of stay based on being a tourist at around May 10th (or thereabouts).
In the meantime, I suggest finding a flight back home.
If you showed up on a tourist visa March 17th you should be stamped in until about the middle of May AND with the covid-extensions going on right now immigration offices are telling people to show up a few days before their stamp expires.
