I had 60 days visa obtained in Penang, before it ended I went to Mae Sai to cross the border and got 30 days. Can I get 30 days extension on that? We were considering flying to Pnom Penh where I can get 60 days visa and we would cross the border by land after staying in Cambodia for two weeks. My husband is from Brazil and I read that Brazilians are no longer entitled to get 90 days stamps if crossing cambodian border. Is it only while visa run so not staying in Cambodia or any land crossing is denied 90 days?

you can certainly get a 30 day extension on your 30 day visa exempt stamp at the immigration office for 1900baht.

Just so you know, the thai consulate in Phnom Penh is not the most use friendly and they take 3 days to get your passport back.

I don't know whether your partner would get into thailand via a land border with cambodia, they would if they flew in though.

they'll just deny entry and tell them to fly in.

Thanks for answering Tod, I know as I did one there, one in Vientiane and one in Penang :) We crossed the border before by land from Shianoukville to Bkk with no problems... but if they don't give 90 days they decreased it to 60, 30 or just refuse the entry by land ?
